TOP JOBIn 2009 BRITA GmbH has once again received the TOP JOB Award for its successful Human Resources management, cementing its position among the top 100 employers among German SMEs. Participating companies are compared with others that are comparable in terms of size and possibilities in five disciplines: Management & Vision, Motivation & Dynamism, Culture & Communication, Employee Development & Prospects, Family & Social Orientation, as well as Internal Entrepreneurship. The focus is primarily on soft factors such as personal responsibility, motivation, employees’ team spirit, active corporate culture, and the family-friendliness of the company. An anonymized employee survey conducted by the University of St. Gallen forms the main basis for the company comparison. |

Good Design AwardIn October 2008 the BRITA jug water filter "Navelia" received the Japanese "Good Design Award" in the category "Food, kitchen, cooking, household products and appliances". This design prize is awarded by the "Japan Industrial Design Promotion Organization (JIDPO). The Good Design Award stands for "industry-enhancing" and "life-enriching" design. This year there were a total of 3023 candidates for this sought-after award. |

Entrepreneur of the year - Finalist 2006:In 2006, Ernst & Young, one of the world's leading professional services organizations, for the 10th time honoured especial entrepreneurial achievements. Some 350 candidates vied for the cherished title of "Entrepreneur of the Year". Of them, just short of 100 reached the final - and they included BRITA. The jury was convinced specifically by BRITA's enduring growth and record in the field of innovations. |

Best CompaniesBRITA UK has been listed in the highly respected Sunday Times Best Small Companies to work for in the UK in 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2008. The Company is measured on eight areas: Leadership, My Manager, The Company, My Team, Training and Development, Giving Back to the community, Wellbeing and Fair Deal. In 2006, Best Companies Ltd (the research company that compiles the list) launched a new accreditation scheme to develop a standard in the UK for employee engagement. BRITA received a Two Star accreditation, which is described as "outstanding." Whilst BRITA UK did not make the Top 100 List in 2009, the accreditation score has continued to improve. |

Investors in PeopleBRITA Water Filter Systems Ltd (BWFS) was awarded Investor in People status in December 2001 and was reassessed in February 2006 and in February 2009. BRITA Manufacturing (UK) Ltd. (BMC) first achieved IiP status in 2006 and was reassessed in October 2008. Both companies have successfully maintained the Investor in People standards. BMC and BWFS are totally committed to training and development and recognise the benefits to both the business and people who work within it. |

SuperbrandsIn recognition of the development of the brand in the UK, BRITA UK has been awarded a place in the coveted list of Top 500 UK Superbrands in 2006 and 2008. The list is compiled annually to recognise exceptional consumer brands, and their achievements. BRITA was selected initially through votes from an expert panel, the Superbrands Council and the final list was compiled in conjunction with YouGov, the UK's most accurate research agency. YouGov asked UK consumers themselves which brands they rate as ‘Superbrands. A Superbrand is defined as having "established the finest reputation in its field and offers consumers emotional and tangible advantages over other brands, which (consciously or sub-consciously) consumers want and recognise. |
